A huge asteroid named 38 Sigma crashed into the moon in the SHRAPNEL world, causing pieces of the moon to fall over a 500-kilometer-wide area on the planet. This area is now called the Sacrifice Zone (The Zone) and is blocked off from the rest of the world, making it impossible for people to go there.
People around the world are curious about what’s happening in The Zone, where these special teams of soldiers are working. Rumors are swirling about something called Compound Sigma, which makes weird quantum science things happen in regular old physics. Because of this, lots of companies and even countries are putting together their groups of tough soldiers, called Mercenary Extraction Forces (MEFs), to go check it out.
One of the big players in this game is VELDACHA CORP. (V-Corp). They’re all about getting their hands on the latest tech that’s popping up because of these crazy discoveries. So now, it’s like a big competition. The soldiers from different groups are all fighting each other to be the boss of The Zone and find out all its secrets.
